The Next Chapter Application

Program Information

The Next Chapter is a growth, impact and reinvention experience for women ages 45 and older who are entering a new season of life. Rooted in reflection, skill-building and community, the program invites participants to explore who they are now and what they want to contribute next, personally, professionally and philanthropically.

We’re excited to share that The Next Chapter is expanding to two cohorts in 2027. That means more women will have the opportunity to apply and participate while still keeping the experience personal, connected and cohort-based.

Applications open October 21 and will remain open through November 4, or until 75 applications are received. Because space is limited, interested applicants are encouraged to apply early.

The Next Chapter was inspired and made possible by philanthropist and community leader Marianne Glick, whose vision helped bring the program to life. Developed in partnership with Women's Foundation of Indiana, the experience was shaped and co-facilitated by Kelly Young, president of Baise Collective, and is led by Marianne Glick.

Eligibility to apply: Interested candidates must be 45 or older and identify as a woman or non-binary femme. The cost to participate in the program is $1,000. Part of that fee will go towards providing a grant from the class to a local woman or woman-led organization in its Next Chapter.

2027 Program Dates

The Next Chapter will include two cohorts in 2027. Each cohort will include approximately 25 women who will move through the nine-month experience together.

Participants will be assigned to one cohort and will remain with that cohort throughout the program. Cohort assignments will be made as part of the selection process; applicants will not select individual session dates.

Both cohorts will meet from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the exception of the April and May classes on the following dates:

Cohort A

  • Monday, April 5 (1 p.m. – 5 p.m.)
  • Wednesday, May 19 (1 p.m. – 5 p.m.)
  • Wednesday, June 9
  • Wednesday, July 14
  • Wednesday, August 11
  • Wednesday, September 8
  • Wednesday, October 13
  • Wednesday, November 10
  • Wednesday, December 8

Cohort B

  • Tuesday, April 6 (1 p.m. – 5 p.m.)
  • Thursday, May 20 (1 p.m. – 5 p.m.)
  • Thursday, June 10
  • Thursday, July 15
  • Thursday, August 12
  • Thursday, September 9
  • Thursday, October 14
  • Thursday, November 18
  • Thursday, December 9

Attendance is mandatory for the first two classes of the year. Because the cohort experience builds from month to month, participants are expected to attend consistently throughout the program. If you anticipate missing more than one session, please apply in a future year.
