Women’s Foundation of Indiana Awards $170,000 to 17 Nonprofits in Latest Grant Round

Women’s Foundation of Indiana has awarded $170,000 in grants to 17 nonprofit organizations working to improve outcomes for women and girls. The latest grants bring the Foundation’s total 2026 grantmaking to more than $756,000, including investments made through the Women in Health Collaborative Fund.

Each organization received a $10,000 grant through the foundation’s second grant round of the year. The competitive round invited previous grantees to share how additional funding could strengthen their work and support the communities they serve.

The grants came during a year of significant transition for Women’s Foundation of Indiana. Following its statewide expansion announced in March, the foundation spent much of 2026 listening to women across Indiana and considering how its grantmaking could respond to community priorities in 2027 and beyond. That work also included exploring how the foundation could more fully integrate Trust-Based Philanthropy into its grantmaking practices.

“Even as we think deeply about what grantmaking should look like in this next chapter, we knew we wanted to continue showing up for organizations doing critical work for women and girls,” said Tamara Winfrey-Harris, president of Women’s Foundation of Indiana. “These organizations understand their communities and what women need to thrive. Our role is to invest in that expertise while continuing to listen and learn.”

Organizations receiving $10,000 grants are:

  • Arthentic Arts Incorporated

The $170,000 investment follows the foundation’s first grant round of 2026, announced alongside its statewide expansion in March. In that round, Women’s Foundation of Indiana awarded $336,000 in unrestricted funding to 16 Central Indiana nonprofit partners.

As Women’s Foundation of Indiana plans for future grantmaking, community voice will help shape its approach. From May through September, the foundation hosted 11 Women’s Listening Circles across Indiana and paired what women shared with county-level data and research. Those insights will inform the State of Women in Indiana report and the foundation’s future investments, advocacy and systems-change work.
