Indiana ranks near the bottom of the Future Forward Women U.S. Women’s Power and Influence Index, ranking 43 among the 50 states when it comes to women’s health and well-being, as well as their economic, political, policy and legislative power. Fifty percent of Hoosiers should not be disempowered. Women’s Foundation of Indiana supports women and girls’ in using their voices and experience to build thriving communities.
Women’s Foundation of Indiana is a proud member of the National Philanthropic Collaborative of Young Women’s Initiatives, hosting one of many Young Women’s Advisory Councils (YWAC) nationwide.
Launched in 2024 by the Women’s Foundation of Indiana in partnership with Centers of Wellness for Urban Women, the Indianapolis YWAC centers the leadership and solutions of young women and gender expansive persons, ages 18-24. The curriculum focuses on giving participants the knowledge and resources to build personal, community and civic power through advocacy and philanthropy.
