A Seat at the Table – $25,000 for The Safe Space 2.0- Teen Girl Programming.  The program is focused on addressing mental trauma, healthy relationships, self-advocacy, and positive body image by creating a safe space for low-to-moderate include high school girls with the support of a facilitator and therapist.

Arthentic Arts - $10,000 for Women in ARTs.  Provides a mentoring program for marginalized adult female BIPOC and LGBTQ+ BIPOC artists.

Beacon of Hope Center for Women - $25,000 to serve survivors of domestic violence & sexual assault.

Castleton United Methodist Church/Still Waters Adult Day Center - $25,000 for ladies care programs.  It will provide guest workshops specifically designed for women to address relaxation, socialization and stress relief and will expand its caregiver support services to include monthly 3-hour women-only sessions to address mental health.

Destiny Steps - $25,000 for Child Development Associate (CDA) Training Program.

Family Promise of Hamilton County - $25,000 for Future Begins at Home: Ending Homelessness.  It will help female-headed, single-parent families with shelter, housing information, employment leads and workforce readiness skills.

Family Promise of Hendricks County - $25,000 for Immigrant Trauma Response Project.  It will help homeless immigrant women and their children with housing and intensive case management.

Fletcher Place Community Center - $25,000 for REACH Early Learning.  Funding will support a family support coach to help the mothers of its early childhood education program participate in the Center for Working Families.

Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence - $25,000 – Emergency financial assistance for domestic violence survivors’ basic needs.

Indiana Community Action Association - $15,000 for Know Your (New) Rights: Pregnant and Postpartum Workers.  It will provide education and rights-claiming activities to make it possible for women to receive reasonable accommodations during pregnancy and time/space to pump their breasts. The recently passed Pregnant Worker Fairness Act and the PUMP for Nursing Mothers Act are designed to make pregnancy, early parenthood, and work more compatible; however, they will only be effective if women in Indiana know their rights.

Ivy Endowment - $10,000 for mental wellness for girls.  Programming includes an interactive youth workshop series and a mental health retreat for girls.

Milk Bank - $15,000 for supporting breastfeeding women in the workplace.  It will educate employers about their responsibilities to their breastfeeding employees. Education will include providing a lactation room guide and lactation room kits for 100 employees.

Overdose Lifeline - $25,000 for recovery housing for pregnant/parenting women.  Funding will support a child services and advocacy specialist.

Pretty Passionate Hands Child Care - $25,000 for operating support.   The organization works with pregnant and parent teens and provides mentorship groups, weekly 1:1 checks, daily group chats, food and hygiene pantry, educational workshops (e.g., CPR, lactation, nutrition), monthly family dinner, assistance with accessing services, baby equipment/diapers, safe sleeping and parenting workshops.

SHE Event Indy - $12,500 for operating support.  The organization provides venues for and training to female Black-owned businesses to increase their customers and revenue, learn sound business practices, build relationships, and circulate their dollars within the Black community.

Sheridan Youth Assistance - $12,000 for Empower Hawks.   It will empower women and high school girls by providing them with resources and education through bi-monthly “club” meetings. It will serve girls at Sheridan High School who have experienced childhood trauma as well as women who are striving to break cycles of abuse and poverty.

Six Sigma Racial Equity Institute - $25,000 for operating support.  The organization is a leadership program designed to upskill Black women to be expert complex problem solvers, improve their career prospects, and increase their earning potential. This upskilling initiative is increasing the talent pipeline of Black women who are ready to move forward in their respective organizations.

Talitha Koum Women's Recovery House - $25,000 for operating support.   The transitional housing facility, located in Greenfield, serves women who are struggling with substance abuse and poor mental health. Almost all residents are survivors of violence or other trauma.

ThriveFunds - $15,000 to provide economic mobility support to women.  The organization is an online anti-poverty philanthropic platform. It connects donors directly with beneficiaries’ specific requests for technology, transportation, childcare, eldercare or career advancement resources.

Unconditional - $20,000 for operating support.   The organization equips, empowers, and encourages women in the adult entertainment and sex industries.

Warren Arts & Education Foundation - $20,000 for basic needs items for mothers.  It is partnering with Moorhead Community Resource Center improve baby and family well-being by increasing access to free diapers, baby supplies, and items for new moms including teen moms.

Why Aren’t You Smiling - $12,000 for Let’s Learn to Sew!  The program will serve girls and their mothers as they learn to sew and improve their relationships.

Women4Change Indiana - $25,000 for operating support.  Its mission is to provide civic learning and equip Hoosiers to engage in democracy to achieve better outcomes in health, economic stability, and personal safety for women in Indiana.

Indiana Diaper Bank - $5,000 to provide diapers to the Indiana Women’s Prison Breann Leath Memorial Maternal-Child Health Unit.

Latinas Welding Guild - $25,000 for operating support.  Helps Latinas learn the welding trade and find jobs in that field.

Leading Ladies - $10,000 for operating support.  Provides programming for girls ages 12-18 where they can talk about issues, do community service projects and participate in college tours.

The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Tissue Bank at the IU Simon Cancer Center - $10,000 for "Indy's Super Cure," a charitable initiative of the 2012 NFL Super Bowl, held in Indianapolis. Women who have been assaulted often have to leave their clothing at the hospital as evidence or arrive at a shelter with only the clothes on their back. The League plans to distribute 1,600 kits this year, with a $13 average cost/kit. An all-volunteer organization that provides a variety of services, including Assault Survivor Kits for victims of domestic violence, rape and molestation.

Concord Neighborhood Center - $25,000 grant for support of its many programs that serve women and girls, including childcare, youth development, assistance with basic needs, job coaching, and case management for senior women. Concord provides a variety of services to low-income residents on the near southside of Indianapolis. Concord serves over 1,000 women and girls annually.

Gennesaret Free Clinic - $9,700 grant for its Women’s Health Initiative, which provides breast & pelvic exams, STD testing and health information to homeless and indigent women. Gennesaret provides health services to the homeless and indigent in Indianapolis. The Clinic serves 1,000 women and girls annually.

Girl Scouts of Central Indiana - $10,000 grant to enhance its website so that volunteer training can be done online and to expand its searchable database of activities that are available for Girl Scouts. This is particularly important because Girl Scouts relies on volunteers to lead troops.

Hawthorne Community Center - $10,000 for child care subsidies for women participating in its Center for Working Families. Hawthorne provides a variety of service to low-income residents on the near Westside of Indianapolis.

Health and Hospital Corporation, Future Promises Program - $10,000 grant to evaluate its high-school based program for pregnant and parenting teens, which will be expanded to other schools. This program currently provides a full-time staff person at 3 high schools: North Central, Pike and Warren Central. Staff work with teens in a case management model (visit them at the hospital, take them to doctor appointments, and provide other support) so they can graduate from high school. The program serves about 140 pregnant and parenting teens annually, almost all girls.

Indiana Women in Need Foundation -  $10,000 grant so that women undergoing treatment can get $500 to purchase non-medical professional services (e.g., housecleaning, childcare, running errands, lawn maintenance) and/or wellness classes, yoga or massage therapy. It anticipates serving approximately 500 Indiana women in 2008. IWIN is a small organization with only one part-time staff provides non-medical assistance to breast cancer victims who are undergoing treatment.

John P. Craine House - $10,000 for operating expenses. Craine House is an alternative sentencing program for non-violent female offenders with preschool age children. Women are referred to Craine House through the courts, and up to 9 women with their children can live at the house. The women are required to find employment and attend an onsite substance abuse program and family preservation program.

Legacy House - $25,000 grant to establish a satellite office at Southport Road and U.S. 31, allowing more individuals to be served. It estimates it would serve an additional 200-300 women and children annually at the satellite office. Legacy House is a victims’ service agency providing comprehensive services for individuals impacted by violent crimes.

Little Red Door Cancer Agency - $12,952 grant to purchase lymphedema bandages and garments for women dealing with cancer, as well as items for its Boutique (including wigs, turbans, breast prostheses and bras). It anticipates serving over 100 women in 2009.

Mental Health America of Greater Indianapolis - $10,000 grant for its P.A.I.R. program, which serves women with mental illness charged with minor criminal offenses. P.A.I.R. will help an estimated 150 women get released into community-based treatment in 2009.

Peace Learning Center - $20,000 grant for its Juvenile Justice Program. The program teaches girls in the Indianapolis Juvenile Correctional Facility conflict resolution skills. It has shown very impressive outcomes – recidivism rates were much lower for girls going through the program, their GPA increased significantly, and the incidence of serious negative behaviors declined 81%. It plans to serve an additional 75 girls with this grant.

Project HOME Indy - $25,000 grant will help fund the executive director position as the organization implements its start-up plan. Project HOME Indy is a residence for homeless pregnant and parenting teens, is scheduled to open in late 2009. When open, the home will serve up to 8 teens and 8 infants or small children.

Seeds of Hope - $6,700 grant for its programs. Seeds of Hope is a small organization that provides transitional residential living for chemically dependent women. It serves 7-15 women at any time, and serve about 45 women annually. The women receive 12 step training, life skills, assistance in seeking/maintaining employment.

Step-Up - $17,500 grant for its Women Taking Charge Program. This program is an HIV/STD prevention program for women who are incarcerated, have a history of substance use and/or have experienced domestic violence. It expects to reach more than 1,200 women in 2008.

Strides to Success - $10,000 grant for its new Pink Ponies Program, a therapy program for adult female victims of domestic violence and adolescent girls who have been victims of domestic or sexual abuse. The program will serve an average of 12-14 women and girls weekly, providing horse-based activities to address emotional and physical challenges.

Turning Point/Columbus Regional Shelter - $25,000 grant to support the new Director of Client Services and Training position. This individual will research and implement age-appropriate violence prevention programs in the schools, initiate additional clinical staff training, and develop more extensive program evaluation. It served more than 1,100 adult women and more than 800 girls in 2007.

Turning Point provides domestic violence services to adults and their children, including crisis response, emergency shelter, safety planning, and legal advocacy, as well as provides community education and training.

Use What You’ve Got Ministry - $5,000 grant for its prison visitation program. The organization’s mission is to keep families connected by transporting individuals to prisons to visit their loved ones. During the trips, it also provides education and supportive services. It anticipates having almost 700 riders in 2008.

The Villages of Indiana - $15,000 grant supports the Family Connection Network, which supports grandmothers and other kinship caregivers who are raising children. The Villages anticipates serving over 65 families in this program. The Villages provides comprehensive services to children and their families, including therapeutic foster care, special needs adoption services, transitional living services for youth aging out of the foster care system and advocacy to prevent child abuse.

Wishard Memorial Foundation - $10,000 grant to train staff to provide bereavement support to mothers who have lost a child. Wishard experienced 100 losses of children in 2007.

Women in Motion - $10,000 grant for these services, which serve approximately 900 women and girls annually. Women in Motion is a very small grassroots organization with only part-time staff that does street-level outreach HIV prevention to high-risk African American females, mostly in the 3600 E. 38th St. area of Indianapolis. They also hold about 12 house parties per month to talk with girls and women about HIV prevention.

The additional staffing will allow the organization’s executive director to develop new funding streams. Day Nursery, the oldest and largest not-for-profit early childhood program in the area, serves 1,400 children in seven centers throughout the city. They are adapting to a changing marketplace as a greater percent of women of all income levels require child care.

Domestic Violence Network of Greater Indianapolis (DVNGI) – $10,000 to assess DVNGI's role in relationship to its member organizations. The information will help shape the organization’s future course regarding services, leadership and fund raising. Domestic Violence Network of Greater Indianapolis is the lead organization in a collaborative partnership of organizations and programs responding to and preventing domestic violence.

Dress for Success Indianapolis – $39,000 to conduct board training and succession planning for this rapidly growing organization and evaluate technology needs as it expands into a larger space. Dress for Success Indianapolis provides suitable clothing and support for low-income women entering or returning to the work force.

Girls Incorporated of Franklin – $36,000 for board development and training and to upgrade the executive director position. Girls Inc. of Franklin is at a crossroads in its life cycle and needs to redefine staff and volunteer roles, update board policy documents and procedures. Girls Inc. of Franklin offers comprehensive programming for girls in Johnson County.

Girls Incorporated of Indianapolis – $33,960 for staff and volunteer training and new technology to facilitate communication. The organization is implementing a new service delivery model relying more heavily on volunteers. Girls Inc. of Indianapolis serves girls 6 to18 years of age in four counties, including Marion and Hamilton counties.

Girls Incorporated of Shelbyville/Shelby County – $55,300 for consulting, training and technology to support fund raising, needs assessment, board development and succession planning. Girls Inc. of Shelbyville/Shelby County provides a safe and educational environment for girls in the Shelbyville area, an area challenged by one of the lowest high school graduation rates in the country.

Indiana Women's Prison –  $49,549. Part of the grant will be used to document the success of the Family Preservation Program, which strengthens the bonds between incarcerated women and their children and dramatically reduces the rate of recidivism. Indiana Women’s Prison will use the data to secure additional funding to continue the program. The remainder of the grant will fund child development training and education.

The Julian Center – $40,000 for technology upgrades to enhance fund raising and improve financial stability. The Julian Center is the largest residential facility in Indianapolis for domestic violence survivors and offers comprehensive programs for women and their children who have left an abusive situation.

Prevail, Inc. – $20,000 for strategic planning and board development to allow this organization to continue to grow and serve victims of crime in Hamilton County. Prevail served 3,700 victims in 2006.

Training Inc. – $13,976 for board development, succession planning, technology upgrades and a fund raising database. Training Inc. provides work force training to equip people for self-sufficiency, and places 94 percent of its clients in jobs.

Planned Parenthood - $10,000 to the Women’s Health Fund, which provides free reproductive health care to low-income women.

Prevail, Inc. - $9,519 for support groups for girls ages 13-18 who are at risk of domestic violence, dating violence and sexual assault.

Southeast Community Services - $10,000 for the Women to Work program, which provides computer vocational training, GED/Adult Basic Education classes, job placement and case management services to neighborhood women.

Trinity Free Clinic - $10,000 in operating support for the Women’s Health Clinic only. Organization provides free medical, health, and dental care to uninsured and low-income Hamilton County residents.

Volunteers of America - $10,000 for a part-time counselor to provide aftercare services in the Healing Families program, which addresses family reunification and healing for women transitioning out of the criminal justice system.

Women in Motion - $5,000 for education for women and girls regarding HIV/AIDS.

Ruth Lilly Health Education Center – $150,000 to conduct healthy relationships workshops for 11,800 fifth and seventh grade students in Indianapolis Public Schools.  The goal of the workshops is to promote healthy relationships, reduce the incidence of teen relationship violence and aid in long-term prevention of domestic violence.

Neighborhood Self-Employment Initiative - $150,000 to fund programs to help women start or enhance their own businesses. The Neighborhood Self-Employment Initiative and its Central Indiana Women's Business Center use classes and mentoring to promote entrepreneurship among women, many of them with low incomes. The organization expects to train 4,000 people in the next three years.

Neighborhood Self-Employment Initiative - $150,000 to fund programs to train low-income women as self-employed caregivers in the areas of childcare and home care for the disabled and elderly.

Women’s Fund 10th Anniversary Scholarships - $50,000 in scholarships awarded to 7 women in their senior year of college allowing them to complete their education.
