Q&A With Tamara Winfrey-Harris In Indianapolis Recorder

During Women’s History Month, Women’s Fund President Tamara Winfrey-Harris participated in a wide-ranging Q&A with the Indianapolis Recorder.

When asked how people can better support women, Tamara said that listening was number one. Number two was increased charitable giving to women- and girls-serving groups, which made up less than 2% of all giving in 2020 despite those groups serving a demographic majority of America’s population.

She added:

“When you think about how you want to use your dollars, where you want to volunteer, how you want to use your time, think of women- and girls-serving organizations and put some attention there and on their specific needs. …[A]lso, vote.”
